What we collect when you buy a plugin, open an account or write to us, why we need it, and who else handles it.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, your name if you give it, and a password, which we store only as a hash.
- Orders and subscriptions: what you bought, the price, the date, the renewal date and the payment status.
- Licenses: your license keys and the website addresses where a key is activated, so updates reach the right store.
- Messages: what you send through the contact form or the support page, and our replies.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser details in our server logs, and a hashed IP address to limit how often forms can be sent.
We do not ask for, and do not want, patient records or customer card details from your store. The plugins keep that data in your own WordPress site.
How we use it
To create your account, take payment, issue and check license keys, deliver downloads and updates, send the emails described below, answer support requests, and keep the site safe from abuse. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Payments
Payments for our plugins are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page. If we add PayPal, PayPal processes those payments. Your card details go straight to the payment company and never touch our servers. We receive the result: paid or not, the amount, and a reference we can use for refunds.
The platform that runs our store sends account emails (welcome, password reset), receipts, license and subscription emails, and replies to support requests. If you sign up for news about a plugin, we email you about it and every such email lets you unsubscribe.
Cookies
- qweb_customer: keeps you logged in. Set only after you log in or create an account. Lasts 30 days from your last visit.
- qweb_csrf: protects forms from being submitted by other sites. Ends when you close the browser.
- qweb_promo: remembers a promotion code from a link you followed, for up to 30 days. Set only when you use such a link.
The site has no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies today. If we add any, we will update this page first. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to fetch them.
Who else handles data
- QWEBMASTER runs the store platform and the servers that hold accounts, orders, licenses and messages.
- Stripe (and PayPal, if we add it) processes payments.
- Our email provider delivers the emails described above.
- Cloudflare sits in front of the website for speed and protection and sees your IP address and requests.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, orders and licenses while your account exists and for as long as we need them for tax and accounting. Support messages are kept so we can see the history of a request. Server logs are kept for a short time for security.
Your choices
You can see your orders, licenses and subscriptions in your account, and cancel a subscription there. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or close your account and delete what we do not have to keep, contact us.
