POS and menu software for dispensaries, 2026.
Who the main vendors are, what each says it does, what is priced in public, and how your website fits around your point of sale.

The short answer
- A licensed THC dispensary needs a cannabis POS that reports to your state's tracking system (Metrc or BioTrack in most states). That requirement narrows the field quickly.
- The best-known names in 2026 are Dutchie, Flowhub, Cova, Treez and BLAZE. Each now bundles online ordering and a pay by bank product.
- Only Cova publishes US prices among the five: $349 to $599 a month per store depending on plan, plus an ecommerce add-on.
- WordPress and WooCommerce sit around the POS: a menu plugin that syncs with it, or a separate store for CBD, hemp and accessories.
What a dispensary POS has to do
A general retail POS will not do for licensed cannabis. Before features or price, check these:
- State tracking. Sales and inventory changes reported to Metrc, BioTrack or your state's system, without double entry.
- Purchase limits and ID checks. Daily or per-visit limits enforced at the register, with age and medical status checked.
- Labels and packages. Compliance labels and package tags printed from the POS.
- Online ordering tied to inventory. The menu customers see online should come from the same stock count as the register.
- Cashless payments. Usually pay by bank (ACH), offered by the POS vendor or a partner. See our payment options guide.
- Working through outages. Ask what happens when the state system or your internet is down.
The main vendors
What follows is what each vendor says about itself, read on its own website. We have not tested these systems. Prices are listed only where the vendor publishes them.
Dutchie
POS, ecommerce, kiosk, delivery and Pay by Bank in one platform. Dutchie says it works with "6,500+ dispensary partners" and released Metrc Connect, a traceability integration built with Metrc, available to its customers in Metrc states. Online menus can be embedded on your own website or built as a custom headless storefront. Pricing is not published.
Flowhub
POS with "Deep integrations with Metrc, BioTrack, and your state's systems", native or custom online stores, Flowhub Pay (pay by bank) and a mobile inventory app. Flowhub says checkouts "average just 20 seconds" and that "97% of Flowhub customers renew year after year". Pricing is not published; a demo is required.
Cova
POS, payments, inventory, compliance, ecommerce and analytics, with Metrc and BioTrack integration and no-fee integrations with Leafly, Weedmaps, Springbig and others. Cova is the only one of the five with public US pricing, read October 12, 2026:
- Boutique: $349 a month with Cova Pay, $389 without, up to 2 POS workstations.
- Powerhouse: $499 a month with Cova Pay, $599 without, up to 4 workstations.
- Enterprise: custom quote. Built-in ecommerce listed at $199 a month, with a promotional price of $149.
Cova also mentions special pricing for CBD retailers.
Treez
POS, payments, ecommerce, loyalty and retail analytics. Treez says it processes more than "$4 billion in transactions" a year. Its homepage does not describe its state tracking features, so ask about them directly. Pricing is not published.
BLAZE
POS, self-serve kiosk, online menu, headless API, website builder, delivery driver app and dispatch, BlazePay cashless payments and a marketing suite. BLAZE says it serves licensed operators in 20 states and lists SOC 2 Type 2. Pricing is not published.
Jane and other menu marketplaces are also widely used for online ordering. We could not read Jane's site when this guide was checked, so it is not described here.
Where your website fits
Most POS vendors offer their own hosted menu. If your website runs on WordPress, you have three common setups:
- Embed the POS menu. The simplest. Your pages stay on WordPress, the menu and checkout come from the POS vendor.
- Sync the menu into WordPress. Plugins such as LeafBridge connect WordPress to Dutchie Plus so product and category pages live on your own domain, which helps search. LeafBridge does not publish its pricing.
- Run WooCommerce for what the POS does not cover. CBD, hemp, accessories, apparel and merch shipped by mail are often sold from a separate WooCommerce store with its own payment setup.
Check that any WordPress cannabis plugin is still maintained. WP Dispensary, once a common choice, was closed on WordPress.org on January 29, 2025 for a security issue and is no longer available.
Questions to ask in a demo
- Which state tracking systems do you integrate with in my state, and what happens when the state system is down?
- Are online orders and in-store sales drawn from the same inventory, in real time?
- What does the online menu look like on my own domain, and can search engines index the product pages?
- Which cashless payment options do you offer, who is the provider behind them, and who carries returned payments?
- What is the full monthly price per store, including ecommerce, payments, hardware and onboarding?
- How long is the contract, and how do I export my customer and sales data if I leave?
Selling CBD, hemp or accessories on WooCommerce?
Our plugins add the pieces cannabis stores need: card orders charged on your own terminal, age checks, patient records and shipping limits by state, ZIP or city.
Questions
What POS do most dispensaries use?
Dutchie, Flowhub, Cova, Treez and BLAZE are the names most often compared in 2026. Dutchie says it works with more than 6,500 dispensaries. There is no independent market share count we could verify.
How much does dispensary POS software cost?
Most vendors do not publish prices. Cova lists US plans from $349 to $599 a month per store, with ecommerce from $149 to $199 a month on top.
Can I run a dispensary menu on WordPress?
Yes, by embedding your POS vendor's menu or by syncing it with a plugin such as LeafBridge for Dutchie Plus. The POS stays the source of truth for inventory and compliance.
Does MMJ eCommerce make POS software?
No. MMJ eCommerce makes WooCommerce plugins and builds cannabis store websites. We work around the POS you choose.
